Not Just Frugal, but FREE Fitness in NYC this Summer

We are officially in the middle of the Summer season which means it is more crucial than ever to make sure we are soaking up the beautiful weather as much as possible! Yes that means meals and happy hours outside, but we are talking about moving our workouts outside, too!

We've rounded up a few FREE fitness classes in NYC to help you do just that! From yoga to Zumba to running - there's an option for almost everyone. Make sure to grab your friends, coworkers, dogs and get out there and soak up the summer sun as you sweat!

NYC Parks

Make sure to check out the NYC Parks website above because they have a multitude of free fitness classes happening daily including meditation classes. Below are the two we thought would be most fun so you may even see us there!

NYC Parks: Yoga on the Beach

All you need to do is bring a yoga mat or large towel to get your flow on right there on the sand on Rockaway Beach. Don't forget to bring your bathing suit for some post-yoga swimming since you'll already be just a few steps from the ocean!

NYC Parks: Summer on the Hudson: Riverside HIIT

This workout may take place in Riverside Park, but trust us . . . it is no walk in the park. You'll be performing exercises in various tempos to send your into a state of fat-burning even after your workout is done.

November Project NYC

November Project hosts workouts all year long on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays that include everything from running to burpees to push-ups. You'll walk away from a November Project workout feeling empowered to come back, especially after meeting a variety of new and friendly faces.

Healthy on the Hudson

More yoga! More fun! Every Thursday go on over to Pier 46 and enhance your yoga practice right at the riverfront. There will be skilled instructors and all you'll need is a mat. Make sure to check out Healthy on the Hudson's Tai Chi schedule as well as their partner workouts with Lululemon.

NYRR Open Runs

Even if you aren't training for a race, running is a great workout to raise endorphins and do outside. NYRR is bringing NYC free weekly rungs to neighborhoods all across the city. They even have prize incentives to the participants who participate in the most weekly runs.
