About the Role:
We’re looking for a Product Manager to come in and make an immediate impact by building tools that aid our Financial Trainers in providing a highly personalized client experience and boost productivity as we rapidly expand. You will join a passionate and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams to design, build and roll-out products that deliver the company’s vision and strategy. You will be the first technical hire in the company and the role has the potential to grow into a Chief Technology Officer role in the future.
Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
Define, manage, and evolve product strategy, roadmap, and vision
Own product performance by setting proper success metrics and tracking them in a way to maintain accountability but also inform the future product roadmap
Build and collaborate with your cross-functional team of software developers and designers as well as non-tech groups such as the executive team, investors, financial trainers, and customer experience.
Communicate with partners to keep abreast of their needs and experience concerns
Monitor industry trends to find opportunities and modify strategies
Work directly with engineering and design to ensure our products exceed standards of quality and reflect the Financial Gym brand
Operate a cross-functional unit in an agile setting, with well-defined sprints, clear product backlogs, and forward-looking plans that align to your mission and success metrics
Be the point-person on application integration with third-party vendors
Additional hats you may need to wear in the early stage: project manager, tech lead, research facilitator, and assist in reporting and prioritizing bugs and errors from the rest of the team.
Proven work experience in product management or as an associate product manager
Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management
Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
