Business Checking Accounts
Novo
If you are looking for a free business checking account, check out Novo. What do we like the most about Novo? No monthly fees or minimum balances required, unlimited ATM fee refunds (because we firmly believe no one should be paying ATM fees!), and free ACH transfers, mailed checks, and incoming wires
Business Credit Cards
At the Financial Gym, we always recommend separating your personal and business finances whether you freelance, have a part-time side hustle in addition to your full time job, or own a company with employees. Having a business credit card to use solely for your business expenses can help you stay organized and keep track of how your business is doing. Knowing what type of expenses your business spends the most money on is key to figuring out what business credit card is the best choice for you. You can earn cashback, airline miles, and/or hotel/travel points with these cards but certain cards offer higher points for certain expenses such as office supplies, shipping, and travel.

Other Tools
Wave
Wave is a great option for freelancers! They offer invoicing and accounting services for FREE (yes, you read that right!). You can create customized invoices and send automated reminders. With accounting services, you can track all your income and expenses and run financial reports to stay organized and understand how much you are bringing in each month. There are also other services available for a paid fee such as payroll, payment solutions, and receipt scanning. Most of all, the software was designed specifically with solopreneurs doing their own bookkeeping in mind (for those of us that aren't accountants!) and is more user friendly than some of the other accounting products out there.
Square
If you are a small business owner looking for a point-of-sale system to help you run your business and get paid, check out Square. We love how transparent Square’s pricing is. There are no hidden fees, no contracts, and no commitments. If you sign up, they will even mail you a free credit card reader so that you can start accepting payments right away. Square’s software lets you run analytics to see sales trends and see what’s working for your business.
Box
Check out Box to help your business manage, share, and collaborate on your digital files all in one place. It lets you store and manage files in an online folder that you can access from any device. All content syncs with the cloud on any device that has Box installed. There are automation tools to help you work more efficiently, electronic signature capability, and built-in security to protect your information.
