On this episode of Financially Naked: Stories from The Financial Gym, Rachel, Head of HR at The Financial Gym, is chatting with the team! We wanted to reflect on 2022 and set some intentions for 2023. We’ll hear from the team about what went well, what they learned, how they grew, and some financial whoopsies from 2022.   • Happiest memory: Spending quality time with the people she loves. 

  • Biggest Financial Accomplishment: Keeping The Financial Gym alive. They’re close to finding a long-term partner. 

Bevin Morgan - Level 2 Trainer

  • Happiest memory: Traveling and reconnecting with the Austin Samba School 

  • Best work moment: Seeing all the client’s successes. One client in particular has seen incredible growth.
    Favorite New Technology: Her air fryer, it’s literally magic.

Chandra Savage - Level 2 Trainer, Head of Community Engagement 

  • Whoopsie of the year: unsuccessful travel hacking. 

  • Good wine for the year: a homemade sangria 

Erika Moromisato - Level 2 Financial Trainer

  • Best work moment: Getting hired as a trainer after completing CFT school. 

  • Biggest accomplishment: Replenishing her emergency fund 

  • What did you change your mind about: Living with family. She thought it was a temporary move, but she absolutely loved it. 

Genar Mendez - Level 2 Trainer

  • Happiest Memory: Getting engaged on a hot air balloon.
    Best work moment: Getting paired with Juan for the mentor program. They’ve become close as brothers. 

  • Opportunities you missed: Getting out into nature more. 

  • Simple Pleasure: Baths 

Jazmin Higgins - Level 2 Financial Trainer

  • Best work moment: The Financial Gym Los Angeles meet-up. 

  • Biggest Purchase: Cash flowing her daughter’s quinceanera 

  • Financial Whoopsie: Furniture for their outdoor space, the yard isn’t ready yet. 

 Juan Valeriano - Level 2 Trainer

  • Best work moment: Getting hired, getting paired with Genar for the mentor program. They had an instant connection and a close brotherhood. 

  • Biggest Purchase: A new keyboard and mouse for work 

  • Something you changed your mind about: Juan used to feel the need to be in total control, but he’s learned to embrace the chaos and let the universe guide him. 

Kadri Augustin - Level 3 Trainer, Leadership Support 

  • Biggest Financial Accomplishment: Purchasing plane tickets for his parents to travel back and forth to France.  

  • New year’s resolutions/manifestations: continuing his career growth and professional development. 

  • When you were happy you asked for help: Kadri has an amazing support group at work and in his friends and family. That ongoing membership is key for him. 

Kylie Lipinski - Level 2 Trainer, Frequent Blog Post Author 

  • What you wish you would have done more: spent more time with her drawing and paints. 

  • New hobbies you discovered this year? Canyoneering. Rather than climbing up a wall, you hike up to the top of a canyon and use ropes to climb down.

  • A simple pleasure this year you’ve enjoyed: daily cup of coffee, getting outside and walking around the neighborhood for fresh air and sunshine.
