We took a look at five companies that can help you earn a little more cash leading up to the holidays.
1. UPS
First on our list is United Parcel Service (UPS), the multinational package delivery and supply chain management business. UPS projects this year’s package deliveries will almost double the number of package deliveries it handles now.
The company announced plans on hiring 100,000 employees for the holiday season. This is an impressive amount of job openings and opportunities are available nationwide.
What we like about this company is that they are also willing to help with education costs. Separate from the hourly pay, part-time employees who are earning a degree are eligible to receive $1,800 toward education as part of their Earn and Learn program.
According to Glassdoor, UPS Seasonal Package Handlers receive an average base pay of $11 an hour along with an additional cash bonus.

2. Amazon
The e-commerce giant is ready to take on 30,000 workers. But you’ll have to move quickly as it’s reportedly receiving an overwhelming amount of applications, according to a CNN interview with Amazon. The positions available are specific to package delivery and supply chain management and would be a great way to earn experience in a well-known company.
The tech giant offers positions with a $15 minimum wage, and comparable benefits to full-time workers. The company started hiring last month as they kicked off the season with a series of Career Day events in six major cities.

3. Best Buy
The large consumer electronics retailer is kicking off seasonal hiring through a series of career fairs being held at their stores. The company culture revolves around creating human connections and one of their values is “Having Fun While Being the Best”. This gig can be a great environment for anyone who loves technology.
According to Glassdoor, a seasonal Inventory/Merchandising Specialist makes about $10 to $14 an hour. Further, Best Buy offers seasonal workers a large array of benefits including flexible schedules, competitive wages, 401(k) eligibility and an employee discount program.

4. Target
A long-time favorite retailer for many Americans, Target plans to take about 125,000 seasonal team members distributed across the 1,800 stores across the country. Positions are focused on bringing joy to guests and learning the skills required to deliver a great experience to their customers. Target’s launching a series of hiring events across local Target stores.
According to Glassdoor, seasonal employees at Target have an average base pay of $11 per hour. Target also provides an employee discount program, a gift of $250 for yourself and a charity of your choice, and flexible scheduling such as the option to work on weekends only. This is a great option for those who are picking this up as a second job during the season.

5. Paper Source
